Flight and Accommodations before/after Retreat

This event begins and concludes at the ashram. Transportation between your home and the ashram is not included in the program, so please arrange your travel accordingly. If you arrive earlier or plan to stay longer before or after the event, you may stay at the ashram for an additional fee, subject to availability. If accommodations at the ashram are unavailable before/after retreat program, please make alternative arrangements on your own.

Clothes

Rishikesh is a fairly casual destination, so we recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothing during your stay. However, to respect Indian culture, we kindly request attendees to dress modestly during the program, especially women. Crop tops, bra tops, and short leggings are not appropriate. Men are also advised to avoid wearing shorts.

Additionally, we recommend bringing a lightweight winter jacket, as mornings can be chilly. While daytime temperatures can be warm enough for swimming under the sun, it’s best to be prepared for varying weather conditions.

Alcohol-free and No-animal products

To respect the spiritual atmosphere of the ashram, we kindly ask attendees to avoid bringing alcohol or any animal products, including leather items (such as bags, shoes, etc.). The ashram staff are strict vegetarians, so please ensure that no animal-derived ingredients are included in the food you bring, such as lard (pork), gelatin (pork), eggs, supplement or fish powder. Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining the sanctity of the ashram.

Towels

Please bring both bath towels and regular towels for use in the shower and for bathing in the Ganges River. Ashram will provide 2 big size towels.

Clothes to Discard After Holi festival

If you plan to attend the Holi festival, please note that the colors used during the celebration will likely stain your clothes permanently and cannot be removed. We recommend bringing clothes that you don't mind discarding after the festival.

Laundry Services

External laundry services with extra charge are available. However, please be noted that it may take time depend on the weather, and complicated laundry such as Silk materials is not available.

Consent

A consent changer is required. In India, B3 or C types are commonly used.
