Holi Festival is a major celebration in North India. On the evening of March 13, families perform spiritual rituals, followed by festivities that begin on the morning of March 14 and continue through the evening of March 15. During this time, people enthusiastically play with colored powder, which is often thrown at cars or passersby. Unfortunately, this exuberance can sometimes escalate into unruly behavior or street conflicts.
We strongly advise against land travel between Delhi and Rishikesh during this period. However, flights should be safe, and Rishikesh itself remains a peaceful and secure destination.
